We shall see which way the SP500 will break in a month at best . Traditionally a rising wedge will have a bearish reversal... but it is not cast in concrete. Here is a web link that discusses the rising wedge

The Rising Wedge is a bearish pattern that begins wide at the bottom and contracts as prices move higher and the trading range narrows.
