A bit more clarification . Unlike most other current treatments this compound attacks the cancer from inside the cell and uses a very cleaver partnership between a molecule , oxygen and laser light to cause the cancer cells death .

Cancer cells have many more receptors on their cell wall for iron compounds than normal cells . They very readily take up a host iron compound which smuggles into the cancer cell another metal based compound that has the ability to release oxygen when light is shone on it .

This treatment does not go through the blood stream but is done for bladder cancer as a wash by filling the bladder with a solution and then flushing . Light of specific wave length is shone , oxygen is released which signals to the cancer cell to divide causing its own death .
