The problem is tarsands are just too energy intensive to utilize. EROIE Not to mention very dirty. Scraping the bottom of the barrel. Electrons derived directly from photons are much cheaper to move a vehicle down the road today and they continue to get cheaper and cheaper. Not to mention being vastly cleaner and sustainable.
