Kellyanne: I didn’t get ‘sidelined’ from TV — I’m just a busy mom

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway claims she’s not “sidelined” from TV because of a string of embarrassing gaffes — she’s simply a busy mom.

“I don’t think I have to explain myself if I’m not going on TV if I’m out with four kids for three days looking at houses and schools,” Conway said in an interview Wednesday night with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

“A lot of my colleagues aren’t trying to figure out how to be a mother of four kids, I assure you,” Conway said.

CNN reported Wednesday that Conway was “sidelined” from TV by the White House.

“Somebody’s trying to start trouble,” Conway said of the report.

“About 5 percent of what I’m asked to do in this White House counselor role is TV,” she continued.

“I think that’s about right because he’s the president now. He’s his own best messenger,” she added.

Conway has stumbled badly of late on national TV, stating unequivocally that the White House stood behind embattled national security adviser Michael Flynn — hours before he was asked to resign. And she also cited a nonexistent terror attack in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to justify President Trump’s travel ban.
