Excellent analysis. Two things that bother me about Ryan (among many) is his nonchalant attitude towards gutting a system that A. doesn't need to be gutted, and B. will have a HUGE negative impact on millions of Americans.

Republicans have always dealt with the Social Security Trust Fund as if it was their own private piggy bank that they can dip in to when ever they want to. In fact, I think there is little doubt that all of the borrowing that government has done out of the trust fund without paying it back is certainly an aggravating factor as to why it needs some help now. But again, it doesn't need to be gutted, like Ryan keeps insisting.

Sanders has a very logical, realistic plan on how to help prolong the life of the fund by imposing a tax on people that are making so much money they will never feel it anyway.

In my opinion Ryan is a dangerous man. If he is allowed to keep going forward with his very harmful plans he will destroy the lives of millions of Americans all by himself. He needs to be reeled in and has to slow his roll WAY DOWN.
