To All,
Cisco's post about 4 months of posting and Ryan's reply about stock price at the time made me think. For about 4 months now Cisco, Ryan, Frank, George, Todd, Aatkinson, Peter, Sigmund, Dana, and now Xaviar (forgive me if I missed anyone) have discussed and shared information about a company called Accumed. They have told jokes, made fun of themselves, laughed, and made others laugh. Through all of the tax selling, the doubt, the agony of a falling stock price, and personal battles as well, these people have relied on each other for comfort and sometimes just to talk. We have all had one goal. I beleive that goal was stated best by a post that Ryan made a long time ago (it was actually one of the first posts I ever read on this thread) "I want to be around when this stock hits double digits" And while that is our intention there is something more. Throughout the posts, friendships have been made, personalities have been discovered, even trips to Maui have been planned. And this is good....But like all goals, they are usually reached. Another post, I think it was made by Frank, stands out in my mind. He was warning Ryan about being careful what one wishes for. I beleive it was something like, Imagine the agony of deciding whether to sell at $4 or wait and see if it goes to $6. That brings out a cold hard fact. Eventually, all of us will sell our shares and move on to other things. What, then, becomes of the "SI ACMI guys?" Do we all share more information and move on to another company together and watch it grow? Do we move our different ways and remember our ACMI days? Do we keep in touch via e-mail hoping that speaking with friends we used to speak to on a daily basis does not become weekly e-mails that eventually turn in to monthly e-mails and etc? While I realize that this will all be in the future and there is still plenty of time before this scenario becomes a reality, the fact still remains that it eventually will. What then?
