Paul (As Joan Rivers would say "can we talk")....
>> However once again I do not know whether Netscape has simply made a bad marketing decision, in not working out with Novell some basis for putting their server on the Novell NOS, or whether there are major technical incompatibilities or reasons.
Please enlighten me. <<
As much as "I" would want, and have wanted, and still want a strategic relationship between NOVL and NCSP, it is my understanding that NCSP has "explicity" stated that their philosophy of "open" systems conflicts dramatically (my words) with NOVL, and quite frankly they don't want (or appear to want) to do business with NOVL.
I totally agree with what you say in this post, and the previous posts you have made, but it doesn't appear to me that NCSP has any interest in NOVL what-so-ever, including the issue of a take-out, merger, or even an alliance as shown by the latest interview with Barksdale of NCSP, where he tells NCSP's detractors to "get a life".
As far as the IPX/IP issue, I know what "I" posted, and I know what and how Eric Hall responded. But the fact remains that no matter how loud Eric shouts "IP is in the box", the perception I see out there is "nobody cares", or they don't understand it.
Joe <I'll try the "peace" bit again, OK <g>. I got through a whole post without any profanity, WOW!>
PS: Margengi better make good on his {apparant} big, bad ATTITUDE, real quick and instead of TALKING the trash, start dishing it out!
Right Dave, Jon? (But then again, I was saying the same old, same old during the Frankenberg, Markman era <sigh>)... |
