Senator Bernie Sanders “ripped” – according to obviously unbiased outlet The Hill, anyway – President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress last night, urging viewers to “continue the fight” against the new administration.Sanders argued that while Trump’s speech “sounds good on the surface, it doesn’t sound so good if you dig just a little deeper.”
Urging anti-Trumpers to unite, he declared, “only together, when millions of people stand up for economic justice, for social justice, for racial justice, for environmental justice, only then can we create the political revolution that will turn this country around.”
Sanders went on to bash Trump for declaring he had begun to “drain the swamp” in Washington.
“I had a difficult time not laughing out loud when he said that,” said Sanders.
