Reported by U.S. banks: U.S. large banks should repurchase greater than $10 billion of their shares during the first six months of 2017. I expect an increase in the dollar amount of repurchased shares during the second half of 2017 because dodd-frank limits their cash dividend payout ratio. Excess capital on the books negatively skews their return ratios. I'm assuming the U.S. economy slowly improves.
