When I was a freshman in college I explored the issue of how many of the religions have the same story. People need to learn their history. Yes, the myths borrowed from each other with none of them have a bases in fact. People find it easier to make stuff up and believe anything rather than apply critical thinking.

That is why I stick closely to science. We are an irrational species. I don't even trust my own thinking all that much. Look at how many people believe preposterous myths, cannot even wrap their mind around evolution, or global warming, or even the dangers of smoking even though the facts are staring them in the face.

We evolved from monkey type primates. A rational species would have seen that in 1859 when Darwin released his great book. 160 years later 90% of people on earth are still rejecting that.
