Nothing wrong with ancient as long as it does what you need it do efficiently enough. I have a similar machine from back then but a laptop, the best I've ever owned, Thinkpad W701. i7-920XM, two 1tb hdd in raid 0 and 32gb ram. It wasn't bought that way in late 2010 but within a year was tricked out with the extras. It still works but is a bit slow and bloated with crapware accumulated over the years and have since migrated to newer, faster laptops as primary. The question now is to clean install back into windows as is, add an old ssd I have in place of raid (it's only sata2 unfortunately so no point in buying new ssd for it), or ditch windows and turn it into a linux terminal. Regardless it should still have years of use left not only can it be easily disassembled but was built to last and replacement parts are out there.
