tango, this page uic.com.au from the Aussies says that as of Sept 97 there were 439 reactors operating and 28 under construction worldwide. There's a table about two thirds of the way down the page.

This whole website is useful, here's the index page;
uic.com.au ...there are 44 "Nuclear Issues Briefing Papers", if you only have time for a couple I suggest this one, "World Uranium Mining" (Aug 97)
uic.com.au .......and this one, "Canada - Australia's major competitor" (Nov 97) uic.com.au

At the bottom of the index page there are links off, the one with the catchiest title being "The Virtual Nuclear Tourist"
cannon.net ....which is mostly about reactors and processing but it has its own links off. What an amazing tool is this internet, and what a black hole for time....

........... cheers ............... marcos
