Give me an example of a climate scientist (an authoritative legit one that's published in a science journal) that's made this "assumption" of any sort of "linear fit". I don't understand what you mean by that, but I assume you mean a linear model... I don't know what order linear model or number of terms, whether it's univariate or multivariate, what the parameters are and no. of terms you're referring to...

I know you just pulled that out of your ass and you're FOS. How Trumpist of you... Same sort of thing as accusing Obama of having his wires tapped (quite obvious it's a distraction, a ruse and not a very imaginative or original one at that...). Bet his "base" or Trumptards ate that all up... making all sorts of comparisons to Nixon/Watergate. Pretty shabby ... an an unpresidented (sic) way.
