The loss of the Luanysha project and FM's decision not to proceed with Chambishi certainly undermined investors expectations in 97. The political uncertainty in DRC and declining commodity prices (gold + base metals) also impacted FM's stock price, and more recently DRC's review of deals with Tenke and America Mineral Fields have created new concerns.

The production start-up of the Bwana Mkuba project and resulting cashflow, however, is a very positive sign that the company can bring projects through to production and this is what Gecamines in the DRC is looking for.
