RTI vs. TIMT? Yes, the "numbers" look better for RTI (p/e 7.5, p/bv 2.05, no debt, roe 27%) than TIMT (p/e 11.4, p/bv 2.52, no debt, roe 21.5%). And in their 3rd qtr 10-Q report, RTI addresses the TIMT/Boeing deal, and says that the impact will not be significant. (YAHOO linked me to the report). IMHO, the "right" thing to do in this case would be to buy some of each!
