Absolutely the prices will tumble, especially for the non-dimmable units.

But the bright and dimmable LEDs are fairly hefty being built on ceramic and aluminum substrates for heat dissipation so there's more material that goes into that product. The prices will fall, but I suspect there will be a technology change there.

The modern dimmers of the past 20 years compatible with LEDs are clever, delivering fewer of the 60 cycles per second as you reduce the dimmer, without extracting an energy cost themselves.
