I have been seeing experts score the replacement plan the Ryan team has put forth for the ACA. It is exactly what I expected. It would cut the taxes on the rich by a huge amount and hurt the poor in many ways including lower caps on expenditures and probably throw about 10 million of the poorest people off the rolls.

And because they want to get rid of the mandate, expect insurance rates to rise by at least 25% immediately. This bill is a complete disaster designed to help the rich at the expense of the poor, and the insurance companies.

It is just the same old Republican philosophy of letting the market place supply health insurance which has been a disaster for the last 50 years, or more with the highest costs and lowest numbers of people insured in the western world . When they say they want to give people a choice, they act like people can actually do that. I don't know anybody that really feels comfortable going out in the marketplace and trying to figure out which is the best insurance policy that they can trust and rely on.

The great thing about Medicare, is that when you need medical care, a knee replacement, or a doctor, or hospital for some ailment you go in and they get it done.

That is the operative word, get er done. They don't hassle you trying to throw you off the roles ) e.g. Rainmaker), or tell you you don't qualify, they just make sure it's needed and pay for it to to get it done. And that was the great thing about Obamacare, it insured millions of poor and you had some assurance that the insurance, would actually come through because we had government looking over their shoulder to make sure they did.

Government is why Medicare works so well. Government is what defended us from the Nazis.

Government is not the problem as Raygun and the Republicans keep saying. The plutocrats are the problem.
