Across the country Wednesday — organizers hope — women will skip out on work to send a message to the world. The idea is to show solidarity among women everywhere by demonstrating how poorly the world would work without female workers in the labor force or the home front. Some of the same people who organized the Women’s March on Washington the day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration are promoting the general strike.
