Just crossed the SquakBox that Sequent has chosen DEC as it's UNIX partner. What on earth are they thinking?!?!? Of all the UNIX
companies, you'd have to work pretty late into the night to come
up with a reason to chose DEC over SUN, or even HP. (No slam to
my good friends and DEC, I just don't think their UNIX will get the
investments SOLARIS will over the next 5 years.)

MER analyst said this will hurt SUN's efforts to establish Solaris.
Not likely, IMHO. As everyone rushes to NT, and gets burned by lack of scalability, SUN will benefit.
