Nokia and Brightpoint Complete United States Product Distribution
Agreement

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 1998--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced today that it
has completed its previously announced 2-year agreement with Nokia (NYSE:NOK.A - news), a world leader in digital
technologies, for the sale and distribution of Nokia's wireless phones in the United States. Effective January 1, 1998,
Brightpoint became Nokia's sole distributor of wireless phones in the United States.
