I hate going to places swarming with machine guns. I was in Firenze in 1995 and you could wander between museums and churches without feeling you were being herded and pushed around. The only danger was gaggles of Japanese who would push and shove by. You could see them coming a long ways off because the group leader marched in front with a little flag they all followed. I have no desire to go to Paris or any other Muslim country now. I would consider this place for some rest and relaxation. telegraph.co.uk
