Congressional Republicans in key Districts are frantic as a large percentage of the 14 million Americans who will lose health coverage under TrumpCare are Republican voters in Key Swing States who voted for Trump. Donald Trump's new health insurance plan, to cover every American with better health insurance at less cost, will immediately dump 14 million Americans from medical insurance coverage. The Congressional Budget Office projects the number of Americans without access to health insurance will rise to 52 million by 2026. This contrasts sharply with the promises Donald Trump made to voters during his campaign and again to the Washington Post as recently as January 16 saying, "We’re going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.” Trump added, “It’s not going to be their plan, It’ll be another plan. But they’ll be beautifully covered. I don’t want single-payer. What I do want is to be able to take care of people.” Trump is expected to next revisit the promises he made regarding maintaining Medicare benefits for retired Americans.
