bentone - Have you ever thought about why we are the richest country on earth? Maybe it is because we have never believed it was the place of government to meet all of the needs of all of its citizens. Maybe it is because we as a people believe in self reliance and individual responsibility. Yes, we are different from every other country on Earth. We are exceptional. "Every other developed country on Earth takes care of ALL their citizens. We're the richest country on Earth. Of course we can do it." There are any number of things we can do that we should not do.
