You're very correct in your risk analysis. And that's great for actuarial types and analysts at insurance companies. The big problem is insurance companies are involved. They're the biggest blood suckers on the planet. Nobody disputes they use risk models to price premiums. Unfortunately, the high risk individuals, the elderly, the poor cannot afford to pay these premiums. Understand?

Healthcare is a VITAL service, just like police and fire protection. Agree? Why not fund it in the same way, through taxes. Get rid of the insurance issuers... They can go away and offer insurance for premium services, such as liposuction, breast implants and other things like free massages at the hospital. You name it. The rich can have their gold plated platinum service from the best doctors on the planet.

The basic service would be for the rest of us. Most people just want basic service, like triple bypass, hip replacement, colonoscopy, rectal examination... Most of us find it fundamentally wrong to charge 50% of ones basic income for insurance that barely covers any of this and still has out of pocket charges.

Will Dumpcare fix this??? No, it'll make it worse. No lower costs, just more gouging from the Drug, Healthcare and Insurance companies. Whoopee inadequate tax credits to cover the cost of the insurance! It's just funnelling tax money into the insurance company's pockets. Gouging and profiteering. The weakest are the ones that pay the most.

I say fuk your system and single payer is the way to go. Pool everybody into the same system. Doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, black, pink or white... You're entitled to the same services.
