We have competing myths.

On the left there are two. One is that money grows on trees. The other is that the one-percenters and corporations have enough to support the whole country if they'd just quit being so greedy and willing to share. I don't see any messaging from the right to disabuse anyone of either of those notions. Not that those messages are typically well received even if they existed. They just reinforce the greed/share myth. You'd think, though, that with the great resources available, someone could come up with a new way to try.

On the right we have the myth you stated. <g>

If the Ryan package is really about the Amex and making the left understand that, why are there tax cuts to match the Medicare savings? How are the left's notions of greed to be disabused with "messages" like that?
