The Computer Systems Division (CSD) of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. (TAIS), Tuesday reduced prices on
selected models of its popular Satellite, Satellite Pro, Portege, and Tecra portable computers as well as the award-winning
Infinia home PCs.

recent reductions in component costs have allowed us to reduce prices on our portable and home PCs and pass these savings

Satellite Pro, Portege and Tecra Computers Offer Premium Features at Value Pricing
Customers can choose from a range of portables with fast 133MHz or 166MHz Intel Pentium processors, large hard drives
and bright TFT displays. With prices starting as low as $1,999 and reduced as much as $1,200, customers can choose a
portable that best meets their computing needs.
For users wanting to maximize their computing dollar, prices on Toshiba's popular Satellite Pro 440CDT and 445CDT have
been reduced $500, to a low $1,999. For users requiring more computing power, the Satellite Pro 460CDT offers
tremendous value with a faster processor, more memory and larger hard drive.
High travel executives will appreciate the reduced prices on Toshiba's award-winning ultraportable computers. The slim and
lightweight Portege 300CT has been reduced $500 to $2,499, while the all-in-one multimedia equipped Portege 660DT is
now only $2,199.
Prices on selected models of Toshiba's Tecra line of mobile solutions for corporate customers and medium-sized businesses
have also been reduced. Featuring superior expansion, advanced graphics and video features and premiere communication

A value-priced dream, the Infinia home PC, offering the latest multimedia and communications capabilities, is now available at
prices starting as low as $1,199. The entire line of Infinia Home PCs heighten the computing experience with the industry's

entertainment and communications. With a reduction of $400 to a low price of just $1,799, the Infinia 7230 offers a first-class
feature set including a 233MHz Intel processor, K56flex modem and generous 6.4GB hard drive. For just $1,699, customers
can bring education and entertainment applications to life with the Infinia 7231 that features built-in DVD-ROM and hardware
accelerated MPEGII.
The Infinia 7260 has been reduced $200 to only $1,999. Power users will appreciate its fast 266MHz Intel Pentium II
