I just listened to a guy whom I believe was an ambassador to China under some other president? I know who he is, just can't recall him, but he is an expert on China. In fact I think he might be Chinese, or half Chinese.

Anyway, he said China does not want a large democracy on its border. So the way I understood it, is that China may be willing to put pressure on North Korea to get rid of its nuclear weapons rather than risk an invasion by the United States which could unite North and South Korea and then have that long border of democracy.

I sort of thought they were concerned about democracy, but it was not a clear idea in my head. After he talked I realize that is what they're concerned about.

Great pictures as always
