That wage would eliminate many agricultural enterprises as uneconomic,

So you suggest exploiting those at the very bottom of the totem pole to support the lifestyle of the more affluent ?
Take advantage of the less fortunate who cannot afford an education from any country regardless of where they come or came from ?

Get the job done at the very cheapest price possible even if it leaves the worker living below the poverty line
So long as the well off winery owners maintains their business and lifestyle ?

What does that do for America? Jobs provided are for imported foreigners not American workers because you say they won't work for the menial remuneration the enterprise is willing to pay.

Why do wine and fruit operations get to exploit the weak so you can have a cheaper bottle of alcohol ?

Does this become standard policy across the land. ? Seeking cheaper labor is what influenced the auto industry to leave America for China and Mexico. Now that the president has encouraged them to return.

Do we allow them to also bring their foreign workers with them. Filling positions with cheap labor because US workers supported by their unions request a decent standard of living.

Is that not what the cotton plantations and farmers did when they used imported slaves ? They got the job done at a cost less than what the American worker was willing to do it for.

If a business cannot survive with out offloading their expense onto the backs of the poor then there is no real need for it to exist. Other than providing a lower cost product for a higher class.

The people who want the products can either pay the price or do with out. But it is funny how people want a share of what those richer have, Yet do not wish to pay a higher price for things to support those below.
Wouldn't you say it is a bit of a double standard ?
That is why I use the phrase.
Society has gone from JFK's "What is good for my Country ?" To "All About Me"
