I don't think 1,000 Euros will do the trick. Merkel has to up her game to at least 5,000 Euros to have an effect. Problem is, if they raise it too much, some of these guys will probably collect the money, go home, and come back for a second time, or third time?

I have read that only about half the migrants are refugees from wars, the other half are economic migrants, from Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc., all looking for a better life. Funny that we don't hear of immigration to the super rich Arab countries, like Saudi Arabia, or Kuwait. One would think they would fit in much better?

Meantime, Erdogan keeps threatening to throw wide the doors and swamp Europe with another 5 million refugees.
