Dementia comes from bad nutrition. Yes ones choices in life matter, and I do not want society to pay for individuals drug addicts even if they chose food as their drug . Are you willing to pay for my cocaine or heroin? Of course you are not, so why should I pay for your gluttony? (Not directed at you gg, lol) If your drug of choice is food, that is your decision. Many addicts, whether it is drugs or food, do not have coping skills. Tough chit, everyone has to grow up at some point in their life, or not, but have to pay the consequence. If it were up to me , I would have had my mother euthanized as her life was over and the demented stranger has no purpose.
