I'm replying on my smartphone from Vietnam, so pardon any typos or rogue autocorrects please.

99% of the world today is concerned about survival, and family. They work hard, they have dreams of an easier life and the next one too. They don't have Brexit, Syria or US politics on their minds.

For me of the privileged western political class, I see a giant step into an abyss, hopefully waking the sleeping giant of justice and morality before it's too late for billions of likely victims. I mean this in a hopeful sense, one step backwards, >1 step forward.

On a personal note I can't get the image of the dead refugee child on the beach off my mind. Or victims in Aleppo and Mosul. I hate nationalism, and the rank hypocrisy of most (not all) pro lifers. I know hate is a strong word and I hate myself for it. The lack of humanity is poisoning America and much of Europe.
