Excellent article and post, thanks for sharing... the only thing the FED cares about is protecting the banks, in fact, that was the reason they were created, e.g., to protect the banks and nothing else...

Today, the FED is somehow seen as some sort of outside agency designed to protect the economy... wrong...

The FED can't really control rates, I perceive them as following rates, not leading them... they have no choice but to follow the global markets or get run over...

I fully agree, the FED has no interest in stock markets, here's yellen's response when asked about the stock market:
