Bob - It seems like you are overlooking that eventually all older people stop working and have less ability to pay increased rates for health insurance. I believe you have been taking care of your elderly mother, but many don't have a son like you in a position to do so. In other cultures around the world, the elderly are treated with the highest respect. Not so much in this country. I remember one of my father's jokes. He used to say that he was waiting for the day when I would say: Dad, thank you for taking care of me for all these years. Now that you are old, go out and take care of yourself! NG We can't in good conscience put our older people in that position... -Dan
