Just took a trip out to Anzo-Borrego. Kind of amazing how its changed in a couple of years. Tons of huge wind mills. They look somewhat majestic so far.

One interesting thing is there have been mills at the top of the mountains west of Anzo for some time. All the new mills are at the desert floor. I think they figured out the air spilling down into the desert was stronger or more regular. It has to be something like that... because the transmission lines are a lot longer... could just be the land is cheaper.
