Look at the bright side, a generation of citizens in Alaska are better off because koan never won elected office and all of his "yellow dog" democrat executive appointments dried up. But he knows the inside scoop, it was a conspiracy against him! Seriously, he should write a memoirs book.

koan is an old stoner who recently came across high potency legal cannabis and always cites Plato and the allegory of the caves while being a most parochial thinker not to mention poorly read and traveled. koan has waxed poetic about Korean society based on watching South Korean soap operas with English subtitles on Netflix streaming. Apparently the melodrama of their facial expressions is more sophisticated because Koan has to read the subtitle below, and based on that he has made sweeping and ingenious commentary on a society at large. Mirabile dictu! Don't bother mentioning to koan, a known "existentialist", that he's been living in his own caves of relative ignorance vis a vis foreign cultures. Hopefully koan has a current and valid passport and he can go visit Asia before he gambles away his retirement on professional poker in Las Vegas.
