But with Lessig's email now coming to light, the government may have a harder time explaining Lessig's sentiments regarding Microsoft. A government official said the Justice Department collected it in the course of its investigation. "Once we came across it, we felt duty-bound to present it to the court and to Microsoft," said the official, who asked not to be named. Just the kind of thing you'd expect the ethical, courteous, humorous legal eagles at Microsoft to do, isn't it? Instead, it was those nefarious market crashers at DOJ who spilt the beans. As for what I think is disgusting, I've posted this before, and I'll do it again: news.com . Wanna take the challenge and respond to that one? I'm not holding my breath.
Lessig may or may not stay on the case; like I said, my perspective is that anybody who hasn't gotten intensely annoyed after installing some Microsoft product or other is leading a very charmed life. If you're running IE4, you should try installing IE3, it's supposed to be good for a laugh.
