The UK universal NHS is one move waaaay ahead of no medical cover as in certain backward places in the world.

That doctors story matches up. Were there any photographers pointed in his direction while he did his good work? and has he received a promotion ??

Once he doesnt continuously stir up the terrorism angle, I would say he is probably a good citizen, and was in the right place and at the right time to be useful in guiding the emergency services to where they needed to be.
