Josh, There is one thing that I would add to your list. Create a password recovery disk (actually it should be created on a floppy or USB flash drive). I mention this because my brother cannot start Windows on his computer because it does not recognize his password (NOTE: he does not think that he changed it). He does not have a password recovery disk, so he is locked out of his computer. lifewire.com B.K.
