I did NOT know that about Christmas trees, but my guess is that it doesn't work as well on artificial ones like ours. And I display my Christmas china in a huge china closet I bought for the kitchen. That way I never need to put it away, and everyone who enters our house will know how much china I have and what good taste. My other sets of china are in the china cabinet in the dining room. I imagine you have Spode. III have Nikko, Happy Holidays (but I mix with Spode).
