I loved your joke about Catholics. I am sitting here surrounded by a wood sculpture of some Christian religious figure, a crucifix, a Thai goddess, a Buddha, plenty of nude paintings and an African native sculpture, and a candle holder of a rusted tin witch stirring a cauldron, with Native American magical symbols and a peace pipe hanging overhead, and worshipping at the altar of my Microsoft operating system, involuntarily, incidentally, so in that ecumenical spirit I hope no one is offended by religious jokes!!! It is just a fact that most stereotypes are grounded to some degree in real differences in behavior and attitudes, and that is what makes them so funny.
Incidentally, every option my husband tried to download the stuff in your email ended in total deadends, and I don't think I will ever be able to enjoy them. So I am very sorry, and please continue to regale me with your jokes out here!!! |
