during my 30 min observation period a few weeks ago, jack was engaged w/ a chinese word game with 2 other kids and one of two teachers, 4 other kids were doing some english word game with the second teacher, and the rest of the kids were doing activities either in groups or on own, with a few just wandering amoungst the groups watching
all of sudden jack stood up and asked to go play soccer, and the teacher says she would walk him over to the gym
i asked the teacher later, saying "can kids just say they want to play soccer and go? too wonderful"
the answer was, jack was noting that it is his scheduled time for soccer practice w/ kids from other classes, and did per scheduling.
whoa, even more wonderful. |
