According to Bradd Jaffy of NBC News, Nunes told a reporter that the Democrats do not seem serious about the investigation into possible ties between the Kremlin and President Trump's team. Furthermore, he stated that he will continue investigating these possible ties without the Democrats' help while Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and other Democrats continue to call for his recusal. In addition, Nunes indicates that the Democrats have withheld information they believe could put Trump's feet to the fire. If Nunes is telling the truth, then this demonstrates that the Democrats are also responsible for stonewalling the Trump-Russia investigation that both parties and the majority of Americans have called for. As of now, evidence that could implicate Trump in directly working with the Russians during the election remains circumstantial if not non-existent.
