Good observation, you're right about that... but either way, it's probably not a good time to take new long term positions, at least according to that chart, presuming it's accurate... hard to believe the margin debt is higher than it has been since 1959... Also, by the way, this is the second full week that the buying volume is at a negative for the NYSE, it doesn't confirm the rise in market prices... we still have tomorrow for the week's tally, but right now it's not encouraging for the longs... it looks like this market is moving on momentum and nothing more since there's no fresh buying to support this rally, probably nothing but short covering, but no fresh buyers around... I think I have to remain cautious here... Of course, I could easily be so wrong...<g> GZ
