I remember discovering "All Things Considered" in the seventies... Driving my FIAT 124... It was such thoughtful, educational and entertaining programming. The audio-only imagery in my head was incredible... blew my mind at times.

As Bay Area "FM underground" radio morphed into corporate programmed boolshit I found my radio tuned to NPR a lot. My neo-marxist lefty friends & my rightwing family/friends couldn't stand NPR...

(But I must admit, regular season baseball is #1 priority on my radio. But not as good as being there at the stadium, or playing the game.)

After listening to mostly NPR over the years, when I turn on regular commercial radio stations theyare exceedingly annoying.
