To be sure, this is found in both parties from time to time and no sensible person would claim otherwise (damn, I think you did, didn't you?) At the current time I think the Left's transgressions against science far outweigh the Right's. (You should keep in mind that in the US while 7% of Republicans don't believe in God, only 15% of Democrats don't. Hence, if believing in God makes people unscientific, it is pretty close to being a tie.) I call bullshit on your claims about the political parties. It seems you don't know either of them.
