The majority of the Republican Party does not even believe in evolution and global warming. These are fourth-grade concepts to any scientists worth his salt and accepted as settled science among scientists. This is why only 6% of scientists call themselves Republicans, 81% lean Democratic and 51% call themselves liberals. Pew poll-google it. No self-respecting scientist is going to deny evolution and global warming. Which is why no self respecting scientist is a Republican. One "typical" Republican just said Global warming is due to so many more people emitting heat and because the Earth is moving closer to the sun. That is an amazing statement. And the head of the EPA does not even believe in global warming. And you think any self-respecting scientist would join a party that has those beliefs? No chance.
