No question FM is in a better position than AMZ and others in the country. from all accounts Gecamines is impressed by FM's schedule in bringing Bwana Mkuba into production.

A book could be written on the AMZ situation and Boulle's connections with Zaire, now DRC. I personally witnessed the rise to $20 and the fall to where it sits now - it has not been pretty over the last two years, but the value of the properties in DRC were never a question. As for whether they ever had a deal - they won the tender process, but the deal was never formally ratified because AMZ would not commit to proceed until a due diligence feasibility study was complete (the revenue sharing arrangement changed as the political situation changed).

Perhaps we should restrict the discussion to FM's more positive situation!
