First 8K monitor is LCD will OLED catch up before it is too late ? Dell’s UP3218K is based on a 32-inch IPS LCD panel with 7680x4320 pixels and 10-bit colors. 8K resolution has four times as many pixels as 4K resolution. The IPS panel is relatively contrast-poor (1300:1) but has wider viewing angles than the VA LCD counterparts. Dell says that the monitor has full support for AdobeRGB and sRGB as well as 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
