Re: Has there been any recent guidance from Lam's management? None that I know of. Would be nice though since uncertainty leads to panic and drastic slashes of eps. Re:Any thoughts as to the credibility of these estimates? IMO, that only thing the experts are consistently successful on is getting it wrong. I expect that is the case again here. There was an article today which stated that semi cos. are upset because there may not be enough 300mm equipment for their pilot lines. Also, a positive article from Michael Murphy of the California Techhnology Stock Letter. He said his FAVORITE SECTOR FOR '98 was the equipment group.
