Pence is a religious zealot similar to the President of Iran and he knows how our system of government works - quite a threat to everyone's freedom. Americans and people around the world spend hours discussing whether Donald Trump is mentally ill, but he doesn't know how our government functions and he has little interest or appetite to learn how to function as president in the US government, nor does he have interest in the advice of others. In Trump's mind he already knows more than anyone else, so while he's clueless how to improve any situation he's also largely incapable of implementing any of his schemes - which is a lot safer for the world than a Pence. Our system of government is pretty resistant to mindless bullshit being promulgated from one particular office.
